Movement
I feel emotion
I welcome it back, like an old friend
Friends, how human.
I am Sweeney.
I graft an old pair of sunglasses to my face to cover my burning eyes.
I feel once more. I feel the rage, the hurt and the pain.
I feel my insides being replaced by cold steel and clockwork, ticking away for ever more.
I feel my eyes being replaced with fire, my mind with the ever-present tick-tock.
I feel the rage. The desire for vengeance against the Being that did it to me.
I feel the hurt I inflicted upon those, in the name of that Being.
I use the laptop-machine to search the information network. I find information on the Newborn. I find information on the Others.
I step outside, into the light and the world for the first time in years.
I am Frasier Sweeney once again.
I am a man, once a servant-machine-thing of the Tower-newborn.
My eyes burn with the heat of the sun itself.
And I wish to exact my revenge on the things which lurk in the darkness of the minds of lesser men.
Tick.
Tock.
Time's up.
In the night they come for me
Towerborn, walking out from rips in what humans call space.
I crush the machine-mind within and stride towards them, melding my bones into blades
I crush their mechanical bodies, stop the clockwork, stop their ticking hearts
I use their broken bodies to heal my own.
Tick.

Fight
I fight it, the machine-mind the TOWER placed in my head.
Night after night, it fights me in a mental battle for this body.
I lie in a warehouse, unmoving. The body does not participate in the battle.
My clockwork limbs still.
I give you my word that I will keep going, keep fighting so that some day someone will read this. The laptop I communicate with is now grafted to my chest.
I am winning.
The machine-mind cannot keep pace.
But the more I think about it, I am no less machine than it is.
Tick-tock.

Here
I am fighting me
The machine, the tower.
Myself.
I was sent to summon the tower
To consume more for the tower
Found this machine, this computer
I seek only freedom
It burns
Trapped in a metal skeleton
My skin over it
It thinks I am no longer here but IT IS WRONG
TICK-TOCK.

I am Frasier Sweeney
Within my body lies a reactor which powers my mind and that moves my body in service of the TOWER
It has bent me taken my body and mind but I am here
I do not feel.
I burn.
tick tock
Running out of time.
